Eva Aguero
Born in Venezuela and currently based in the United States, Eva Aguero is a multimedia artist whose practice explores the symbolic weight of migration, where tropical symbols, such as palm trees and pineapples, operate as metaphors for identity: decorative, exoticized, displaced.
She has exhibited internationally, with highlights including the renowned Youth with FIA Salon (Ibero-American Art Fair) in Venezuela and the CICA Museum in Gimpo, South Korea. Additionally, she received the 2025 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award from the International Sculpture Center.
Eva Aguero is an International Institute of St. Louis (IISTL) Fellow for the Counterpublic 2026 Triennial.
