Ali Eyal
Ali Eyal (b. 1994, The Forest, Small Farm; based in Los Angeles) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans drawing, painting, assemblage, and film. His work explores the entanglements of personal memory, political violence, and loss. Blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary, research-based methodologies, Eyal creates meditative yet resonant works that reflect the condition of a generation shaped by foreign interference and the erosion of cultural identity. Recent solo exhibitions include François Ghebaly (New York), ChertLüdde (Berlin), Brief Histories (New York), and SAW Gallery (Ottawa). His work has been featured in major international exhibitions and biennials, including the Whitney Biennial 2026 (Whitney Museum of American Art, New York), Made in L.A. 2025 (Hammer Museum, Los Angeles), 14th Mercosur Biennial (Porto Alegre, Brazil), 18th Istanbul Biennial, 15th Sharjah Biennial, documenta 15 (Kassel), and 58th Carnegie International (Pittsburgh). Eyal’s video work has been presented at Rencontres Internationales (Paris), Sharjah Film Platform, and the Cairo Video Festival.
