Site Description
Accessibility: Free parking is available with paved or concrete sidewalk ramps and pathways to entrances. The primary accessible entrance is located at the front of the building on Arsenal Street. ADA pathways include accessible ramps and lifts, and staff can assist with navigation. This site is fully indoors with heating, cooling, a water refill station, and restrooms.

About the Artwork
Rirkrit Tiravanija is known for a multidisciplinary practice that challenges conventional definitions and boundaries of art. (open kitchen) is a collaborative project with Soph Anderson, CB Roman, Giorgia Alliata di Montereale, Mudasir Ibrahim Khil, and St. Louis cooks in the International Institute’s newly updated kitchen and cafeteria. Cooks will share their culinary traditions and border-crossing recipes through a series of pop-up meals. The project activates the transformed space as a place for shared meals and everyday gathering. (open kitchen) includes ceramics by Jeremy Segel-Moss of Cherokee Street Ceramics and banners made by students participating in the Institute’s after-school program. This temporary culinary initiative aims to create long-term connections around the Institute’s cafeteria.
