Volunteer at IISTL

Volunteer with Counterpublic and the International Institute of St. Louis this week. Looking for a way to support New Americans in our community? We are seeking volunteer painters, carpenters, and handy neighbors as well as donations to support kitchen renovations.

For the past two years, Counterpublic has been working at the International Institute to help transform the space into a hospitable cultural center for New Americans in Tower Grove East. This fall, the site will host permanent artist installations, a temporary kitchen, programs, tours and more for Counterpublic 2026: Coyote Time – opening at IISTL on September 11th! Part of this effort will be a reimagined kitchen to incubate immigrant-owned chefs, a kid’s play area, and welcoming furniture for all bodies and abilities.
