About the Artwork
Artists Lyndon Barrois Jr., Sage Dawson, Addoley Dzegede, José Guadalupe Garza, Jen Everett, Rodolfo Marron III, De Nichols, Yvonne Osei, PWMD, and Chloe West were commissioned to create sign banners for the streetlights on and around Cherokee Street. This project connects Counterpublic with civic infrastructures, opening to future interventions and offering a lasting trace of Counterpublic’s expansive intervention into the everyday context of the community.
